Betway SA20 wraps up more commercial deals

Betway SA20 has announced the conclusion of a partnership agreement with Zoho, a global technology company offering over 50 cloud-based business apps for sales, marketing, HR, finance and more.

Zoho has been named the league’s ‘Official Business Technology Partner’ and will be using its solutions to enhance the league’s digital capabilities and operational efficiency.

“Partnering with a leading business technology brand such as Zoho represents an important step in our continued commitment to innovation and operational excellence,” said League Commissioner, Graeme Smith. “Their extensive suite of applications, backed by years of research and development, will not only elevate our digital capabilities and ability to scale, but also streamline our operations, to a benefit for fans and stakeholders alike.”

Zoho has over 100 million users worldwide and in South Africa thousands of companies, including the likes of Payfast, RSAWEB, and Quicket, rely on Zoho daily to streamline and optimize their business processes.

“Zoho is committed to aiding local businesses in their digital transformation journey by providing better access to user-friendly, scalable, and enterprise-grade technology,” said Andrew Bourne, Regional Manager, Zoho Africa. “Our suite of 50+ business applications, developed through decades of research and development, seamlessly integrates, helping businesses bring their operations onto a single platform. This eliminates issues like data silos and integration hassles. Zoho has witnessed remarkable growth in South Africa over the past year, with more local businesses embracing cloud technology to scale their operations. We are delighted to partner with the Betway SA20, continuing our commitment to expanding our on the ground presence in the country.”

In other commercial news out of Betway SA20, the league has appointed Dream11 as its ‘Official Fantasy Sports Partner’ for Season 2.

Dream11 is an Indian fantasy sports application with a user base of over 200 million cricket fans. With India a key strategic market, with six Indian Premier League (IPL) teams also owning teams in the SA20, the partnership with Dream11 unlocks an opportunity to connect with millions of cricket fans across the subcontinent.

“It’s a huge coup for us to welcome Dream11 to our stable as our ‘Fantasy Sports Partner’,” said Smith. “This partnership is the coming together of two dynamic platforms that share a commitment to delivering unparalleled entertainment to cricket fans. With Dream11’s extensive user base and influence in India, we see incredible potential to engage with fans and have a platform to enhance the engagement of fans with SA20.”

Betway SA20 remains the biggest prize in South African cricket, with a total prize money of R70 million on offer for Season 2. The winners of the competition – who will be crowned at Newlands on 10 February – are set to walk away with R34 million.
