ESPN Renews Turkish Super League Rights in Africa

The Walt Disney Company Africa has announced that it has renewed its rights to broadcast the Turkish Super League across the African continent, for another year.

The TSL will feature exclusively on ESPN and ESPN2, which South African viewers can access via DStv.

The 2020/21 TSL season kicked off this past weekend and comprises 21 teams, as opposed to the usual 18, as the global coronavirus pandemic meant no teams were relegated last season from the Super Lig, with three teams promoted from the Turkish 1st Lig.

“By renewing these rights for Africa, ESPN is able to continue bringing premier sporting content to audiences and enhancing the diversity of programming on our channels,” says Evert van der Veer, Vice-President, Media Networks, the Walt Disney Company Africa. “We are excited to continue bringing the excitement of this league to the many football fans across Africa.”
