Adidas has kicked off its new Football Collective initiative with a new campaign aimed at helping grassroots and amateur football teams across Europe.
The sportswear giant has pledged 150,000 free kits to some 10,000 amateur clubs across the continent as part of the adidas Football Collective: For the Game experience, in a bid to help the grassroots game which has been impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.
Men’s, women’s and youth teams can apply for the initiative, which will close on 9 November. The brand says it will then draw the winners at random and the clubs will receive their kits by mid-December at the latest.
Adidas athletes and partners will be involved in promoting the initiative, including Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, who is fronting the campaign.
