COBRA PUMA Golf has unveiled a first-of-its kind mobile workshop and fitting van in South Africa.
That’s to create a world-class “Tour” experience it can take to reach golfers at all corners of the country.
The bespoke van boasts a fully-functional mobile workshop, allowing the COBRA team to build their entire range of clubs at various locations countrywide.
Golfers are offered the experience of being part of the custom creation of their clubs to suit their preference, with the clubs built and assembled in the van, resulting in a short turnaround time. The van will also be available to service COBRA staffers at select Sunshine Tour events.

“We want to service all major metropolitan areas in the country as well as outlying areas who do not have the benefit of major retailers in those smaller towns,” says COBRA PUMA Golf Sales and Marketing Manager Nicholas Garner. “Our inaugural journey is planned for September, as the team heads down to KwaZulu-Natal. Later in the year consumers will be able to book fittings at locations around the country.”
Among the golf clubs and driving ranges that will be visited by the van will be Durban Country Club, Mount Edgecombe Country Club, and Beachwood Country Club in KZN in September, golf venues in Johannesburg and Kimberley in October, and Oubaai, Scratch Golf Knysna, Hermanus GC, Stellenbosch GC, Somerset West, Pearl Valley, Metropolitan GC, Steenberg GC and other golfing venues around Cape Town in November.
