Cricket South Africa Acting Chief Executive Kugandrie Govender has been suspended by the organisation’s interim board.
She will face a disciplinary hearing on the 28th of January.
This follows allegations of misconduct levelled against Govender while she was in the position of Chief Commercial Officer and while Acting CEO.
The charges include:
- the role she played in the revocation of media accreditation of certain journalists in December 2019
- various breaches of the provisions of the Companies Act as a prescribed officer of CSA
- the role she played in the dismissal of former CSA exec Clive Eksteen
Govender has been suspended on full pay.
In the interim, CSA will be led by Chief Financial Officer, Pholetsi Moseki.
