ESPN is set to broadcast another season of Major League Baseball across Africa, live on ESPN and ESPN2.

The MLB’s first pitch of the 2021 season is set to be thrown on 1 April, with the opening game broadcast live at 19h00 (CAT) on ESPN2 as The New York Yankees take on The Toronto Blue Jays.

For the fourth season in a row, all 30 teams are scheduled to play on opening day. Key highlights of the 2021 MLB schedule are expected to include reigning champions the Los Angeles Dodgers launching their campaign with a three-game series against the Washington Nationals from 9–11 April with a rematch of their five-game National League Division Series in 2019.

The 91st All-Star MLB Game is set to take place on 13 July at Truist Park in Atlanta, the ballpark’s first Midsummer Classic and the first to be played in Atlanta since 2000 at Turner Field. The action on the pitch will culminate with 12 divisional games being played on the league’s final day of the regular season on 3 October.
