Managed business services technology provider Itec Free State has become the official naming rights sponsor for the Knights, the Free State Cricket Union’s professional team.

“What a privilege it is to start our new campaign as the Itec Knights. With Itec’s national footprint, this is certainly a sponsor that will add value to the union, team and players,” said Free State Cricket Union CEO Johan van Heerden.

“Itec Free State is one of our longest-standing branches, having been established in 1997. Our team in Bloemfontein have been an integral part of business in the region and an active supporter of its community. Itec as a group is a great supporter of sport across the country, whether it be school or professional sport, so sponsoring the Knights only seemed like the next logical step and a good fit for our brand,” said Gavin Meyer, Managing Director of Itec Holdings.

“We are thrilled to be the official naming rights sponsor for the Knights,” said Strauss. “Knowing all too well the power sport has in uniting communities and lifting spirits, our aim is to become actively involved and support the Knights in a number of ways – not only from the obvious financial investment, but also investing our time and hopefully adding value by bringing our business and sporting experience to the table.”
