People on the Move – Mandla Mashimbyi

Cricket South Africa has appointed Mandla Mashimbyi as the new Head Coach of the Proteas Women’s Team.

Mashimbyi is a former Momentum Multiply Titans coach and has had stints as bowling coach and assistant with the Proteas Men’s Team, whilst he was also recently fast bowling coach for the SA20’s Paarl Royals.

Mashimbyi previously played professional cricket for the Titans, Knights, and Griquas. His playing career was brought to an early end in 2010 due to persistent knee injuries.

In his new role, Mashimbyi will focus on preparing the team for international competitions, implementing high-performance strategies, driving CSA’s transformation goals, and building a culture of excellence and pride.
