Hollywoodbets have made another investment in sport, with the announcement of a strategic sponsorship agreement with the Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (COSAFA).
The South African-based betting company is already heavily invested in sport in the country, thanks to its sponsorship of the likes of the Durban July horse race, Greyville Racecourse, Scottsville Racecourse, the Sharks, Kings Park rugby stadium, the Dolphins, and Kingsmead cricket stadium, whilst it also has a branding presence on the shirt of English Premier League club, Brentford.
This agreement with COSAFA will see Hollywoodbets take the title sponsorship of four tournaments.
“We are delighted to come on board as the new title sponsors for four of the 2022 COSAFA tournaments,” says Devin Heffer, Hollywoodbets Brand and Communications Manager. “The deal will run for one year and comprises of naming rights to the COSAFA CUP, COSAFA Women’s Championship, the COSAFA Women’s Champions League, and the COSAFA Beach Soccer Championship, meaning that this new relationship will allow us as Hollywoodbets to grow our reach in the African football community.”

COSAFA Secretary General Sue Destombes says the partnership with Hollywoodbets is vital for the staging of world-class competitions in the region.
“We are delighted to have Hollywoodbets back as a partner of COSAFA this year and they have once again displayed their desire to help develop football in the Southern African region,” she says.
The deal was facilitated by South African agency, Flash Sponsorship.
“We are extremely happy for our client COSAFA to be partnering with Hollywoodbets, one of South Africa’s strongest sports betting brands. This is testament to the strength of the COSAFA brand, their ability to stage world-class tournaments, and the appeal of the football audience in the sub-Saharan African market,” says Flash Sponsorship Managing Director, Richard van der Schyff.
