COSAFA has announced that it has concluded a partnership agreement with aQuellé, as the organisation’s ‘Official Hydration Partner’.

The deal comprises their natural spring water, their soft drinks range KHULA, and the new ViV Power & Sports drinks to keep players hydrated, and was brokered by exclusive commercial agents Flash Sponsorship.

“This deal has been a long time in the making and was concluded at exactly the right time,” says Flash MD Richard van der Schyff. “With the Hollywoodbets COSAFA Cup kicking off on 5 July in Durban, hydration for players, referees, officials and stakeholders will be crucial to ensure maximum performance. We are especially pleased for our client COSAFA who provide a world-class football platform for all ages, men and women, and having aQuellé join the family with their full suite of hydration products is further recognition and reinforcement of their status as the most efficient association on the African continent.”

“Soccer is a sport loved by Africa and it is wonderful for aQuellé to partner with COSAFA in promoting the talent in our country and continent. We look forward to refreshing all the players and officials to power up their game!” says Nico Bosman, Director of aQuellé.

COSAFA General Secretary Sue Destombes adds they are delighted to welcome another valued partner into the fold.

“Our tournaments cannot happen without the support from our partners and sponsors, and so by aligning with COSAFA, aQuellé is directly assisting in the development of football in our region,” she says. “COSAFA has provided the platform for many of our current stars in the region to take the next steps in their football career, but also develops the coaches, referees and administrators of tomorrow. We are grateful to aQuellé for assisting us in this regard.”

The Hollywoodbets COSAFA Cup will see 13 of the leading sides from the Southern African region and West African guest nation Senegal compete over two weeks in Durban.

South Africa are the defending champions after they defeated Senegal on penalties in the final that was played in Gqeberha.
