SuperSport has continued its recent run of rights deals by formalising an agreement with mixed martial arts promotion the ONE Championship.
That’s according to sportbusiness.com.
The agreement, brokered by the UK-based TCB Sport Media rights consultancy, grants SuperSport exclusive rights to broadcast ONE Fight Night events across sub-Saharan Africa.
SuperSport has already started broadcasting ONE events on its platforms across 51 territories in the region, beginning with ONE Fight Night 8 on 25 March. The next scheduled broadcast is ONE Fight Night 9 on 22 April, which will feature South Africa’s top-ranked Bokang ‘Little Giant’ Masunyane, who will take on Hiroba Minowa of Japan in the strawweight MMA division.
