The organisers of the 2020 Hollard Sport Industry Awards are encouraging industry members to enter, with the deadline for submissions just two weeks away.
Entries close on the 15th of October.
This year’s Awards rewards work completed between 1 August 2019 and 31 August 2020.
2020 may have been a year to forget for the South African sports industry, but it was still preceded by some ground-breaking innovation and creativity towards the end of 2019, and the response to the COVID-19 crisis has been nothing short of inspiring.
Rightfully so, the focus has been on the health of all affected industry players and live sport and its associated campaigns have had to take a back seat this year. But, that hasn’t stopped the South African sports industry from innovating and looking at and implementing new and exciting ways of responding to the coronavirus crisis, and ensuring that sports, brands and campaigns still have a life and platform within this ‘new normal’.
As a result, the 2020 Hollard Sport Industry Awards will be unique, for the fact that it will see ‘pre-COVID-19’ work rewarded, alongside the innovation displayed over the past few months.
Work in the following categories will be rewarded:
- Agency of the Year
- AV Content of the Year
- Campaign of the Year
- Communications Award of the Year
- Digital Platform of the Year
- Young Agency of the Year
- Event or Competition Sponsorship Award
- Fan Engagement Award
- Social and Environmental Impact Award
- Social Media Campaign of the Year
Submissions for the 2020 Hollard Sport Industry Awards cost R450 (excluding VAT) per entry, for each category.
