2021’s ‘Agency of the Year’ Mscsports leads the nominations for this year’s Hollard Sport Industry Awards, which will take place at 1Fox in Johannesburg on the 24th of November.
Mscsports has received 15 nominations across seven of the 10 categories unveiled in Johannesburg, including four in the ‘Brand or Sponsor of the Year’ category, three in the ‘Fan Engagement’ category, and two in each of the ‘Campaign of the Year’, ‘Communications Award of the Year’, and ‘Event or Competition Sponsorship of the Year’ categories.
Fellow agency Levergy were next best with eight nominations across five categories, whilst T&W, the guys behind the outstanding ‘Chasing the Sun’ Springbok documentary, picked up six nominations, including four in the ‘Audio Visual Content of the Year’ category.

With regards the brands nominated for associated campaigns, Discovery and Klipdrift (five nominations each) feature prominently, whilst other brands among the nominations include the likes of Castle Lager, SPAR, MTN, Engen, Sasol, DStv and Nedbank.
The nominations and announcement of the finalists in each category follow an extensive judging process, involving some of South Africa’s leading marketers, communications, content, media and sponsorship specialists.
Next up will be the final rounds of judging before the who’s who of the South African sport industry gather on 24 November for the country’s flagship sports industry event.
The winners in each of these categories will be announced, along with the recipients in the ‘Agency of the Year’ and ‘Young Agency of the Year’ categories. There will also be five special awards: ‘Leadership in Sport Business Award’, ‘Sport Industry Personality of the Year’, ‘Sport Lifetime Community Award’, ‘Sport Lifetime Achievement Award’, and ‘Commentator Award’.
