The Itec Knights and Free State Cricket Union have announced that Italian brand Macron are their latest apparel partner.
The partnership will provide the Itec Knights, as well as the Free State Cricket Union’s provincial teams, with apparel for their various competitions and national weeks.
“It was really an easy decision to make in partnering with a brand that is in tune with the latest trends when it comes to fashion,” said Johan van Heerden, CEO of Free State Cricket Union. “This partnership is significant to the cricket fraternity in the province, and we look forward to sustaining the relationship with Macron for years to come.”

Macron, which was founded in 1971, has been partnering big name sports clubs in different sporting codes for decades, ranging from rugby to hockey, volleyball and football, and they are the current official referee technical partner of all UEFA competitions.
Macron operates in three main business areas:
- Teamwear: for football, basketball, rugby, volleyball, baseball, handball, five-a-side football, and running
- Merchandising: official kits, free-time apparel, and accessories for the supporters of Macron’s sponsored clubs
- Leisurewear: sports-inspired apparel for those wishing to wear Macron off the field
