The naming rights to Kings Park Stadium have been acquired by gambling brand Hollywoodbets.
The 52,000-capacity venue in Durban is home to the Sharks, and will be renamed the Hollywoodbets Kings Park Stadium on 1 January, 2022.
The company takes the naming rights on a three-year contract, replacing Jonsson Workwear in the role.
Hollywoodbets was already an associate sponsor of the Sharks, having signed with the club in October 2019.

“We have developed a great working relationship with the Sharks and are thrilled to be taking it to the next level,” said Devin Heffer, Hollywoodbets Brand and Communications Manager. “This partnership has been aligned around offering more value to the fans and enhancing the in-stadium experience. It’s a great honour to have our purple brand linked to this well-established stadium, where the likes of the Springboks, the Sharks, AmaZulu Football Club and the KZN community come together to provide world-class sporting action and entertainment. This sponsorship will provide our brand with further exposure in global markets and aid our pursuit of growing Hollywoodbets internationally.”
The move furthers Hollywoodbets’ presence in the South African sponsorship market, with the company already holding the naming rights to the Kingsmead Cricket Stadium, Greyville and Scotsville racecourses, and the country’s flagship women’s football league, known as the Hollywoodbets Super League.
The company is also the front-of-shirt sponsor of English Premier League club Brentford, having acquired the rights ahead of the 2021-22 season.
