PUMA has announced that it has agreed a long-term extension to its kit partnership with Netball South Africa.
The agreement, originally signed in 2019, sees PUMA supply kit for all teams under the auspices of Netball SA, including the senior and junior national teams, umpires, teams in the National Premier League, as well as the Netball SA executive. In addition, PUMA produces official replica and fanwear.
“Netball is a very popular sport, especially among girls and women in South Africa, but previously had not received the recognition and support of other sports, especially men’s sports,” said Brett Bellinger, PUMA SA Marketing Director. “As a brand we are committed to empowering and celebrating women in sport, so with this long-term extension we are reinforcing our commitment to support Netball SA and other team sponsors in bringing about positive change, so that the sport and the athletes get the opportunities, recognition and financial rewards that their world-class talents deserve.”

The announcement coincided with the 100-day countdown to the Vitality Netball World Cup, which takes place in Cape Town in July. Last month, PUMA and Netball South Africa unveiled the ‘United Warriors’ kit that the SPAR Proteas team will wear during the 2023 season, including when they compete in the World Cup.
“In March, PUMA provided the passionate warriors in our national team with a striking kit and today we are delighted to announce the long-term extension of our partnership,” said Netball South Africa President Cecilia Molokwane.
The replica home and away kit are available at PUMA.com, at PUMA Retail, Totalsports and Sportmans Warehouse. The retail price is R499. PUMA has also unveiled a range of fanwear across men’s, women’s and kids’ sizes.
