Water brand THIRSTI is celebrating the success of its activation at this year’s Absa Cape Epic in the Western Cape.

That was on stage three of the demanding mountain biking event.

With the stage passing through THIRSTI’s Western Province production facility in Tulbagh, the brand saw an opportunity to activate with the creation of an added single track and branded first floating water bridge.

“We worked closely with the Absa Cape Epic team to reflect the THIRSTI brand on our part of the route – fast, fun and spectacular,” said THIRSTI Head of Marketing Michelle Lillico. “We built an extraordinary section of single track called Crocodile Spine, as it resembles the spine of a crocodile. It’s fast and flowing with the sole purpose of putting a smile on riders’ faces. Before completing their extraordinary kilometre, riders experienced another first – a 100m floating water bridge.”
