TSAM’s involvement extends to its backing of the Toyota Specialized teams, featuring riders Matt Beers and Tristan Nortje, alongside the Toyota Specialized development team of Zola Ngxakeni and Ntlantla Nkosana.

Notably, Toyota ambassadors, Bobby Behan – Factory Team Manager of Specialized Bicycles South Africa – and Giniel De Villiers, a Dakar Rally legend, will be riding in the Pinotage Stage of the series. The duo claimed victory in the FNB Wines2Whales Pinotage in 2022, securing all three stages and the title.

In addition to the Toyota Ambassadors, Riaan Weideman and Samantha Sanders of the Toyota Gazoo Racing Mixed team will join the Toyota Specialized teams during the Shiraz leg of the series.

“We are thrilled to partner with the FNB Wines2Whales once again,” said Glenn Crompton, Vice President: Marketing, TSAM. “This event embodies the spirit of adventure and the joy of the outdoors, values resonating with Toyota. We anticipate showcasing our models and supporting our riders in this challenging yet exhilarating series.”
