Enoch Nkwe has been confirmed as Cricket South Africa’s new Director of Cricket, with the organisation announcing three other senior executive appointments at the same time.

Nkwe, former assistant to Proteas head coach Mark Boucher, resigned from that position in August 2021, but now returns to the organisation in a different capacity.

The DOC position has been vacant since the end of March after Graeme Smith’s contract came to an end.

Nkwe, a former provincial cricketer with the Highveld Lions between 2004 and 2009, also served as the Proteas’ Interim Team Director on their tour to India in 2019.
