Bristol Sport has extended its partnership with PT SportSuite, which has its origins in South Africa.
The extension will see the digital platform developer relaunch the sporting group’s web ecosystem.
The agreement has seen PT re-platform and relaunch Bristol Sport’s multiple web properties – including those of Bristol City, Bristol Bears, Bristol Flyers, and Ashton Gate, as well as the Bristol Sport site.
As part of the programme, PT replatformed Bristol Sport’s current web portfolio onto PT’s Integrated WebSuite Sports Theme to cater for ‘future audience growth and scalability, while integrating exciting new engagement opportunities for fans via match centres that complement the live match experience and provide real-time stats insights; player profiles; enhanced team and player stats and live and-on-demand streaming services.’

The programme has seen Bristol Sport’s website portfolio integrate more closely into the sporting group’s existing PT powered media ecosystem, to centralise editorial workflows across DAM, video, web, mobile app, bringing in operational efficiencies across all brands and media teams.
This latest package follows PT’s work with Bristol Sport across media asset management, multi-tenant media collaboration, video streaming and mobile apps.
“We partnered with PT SportSuite several years ago to initially launch our live and on-demand video platforms which have all worked incredibly well,” said Bristol Sport Group Director Of Communications, Lisa Knights. “The decision to extend our partnership to delivery of all five of our sporting and venue websites means that our workflows are now completely streamlined and the digital ecosystem is fully connected. One area that we have concentrated on is the stats offering to fans – it is such a growth area in fan engagement and something we are constantly looking to improve. The launch of our new gameday match centre and individual player profile stats is focused on enhancing the fan experience and enables our supporters to be better connected and informed on all their favourite players or teams.”
“The expansion of our partnership with Bristol Sport builds on an excellent two-and-a-half-year working relationship,” said PT SportSuite CEO, Rich Cheary. “Our shared vision remains – which is to position them as one of most digitally-enabled sports organisations in the UK. As a team, we thank Bristol Sport for their continued trust and are excited to complete what represents the ‘closing of the loop’ so to speak, as we’ve relaunched Bristol Sport’s website portfolio onto our PT WebSuite Theme and integrated with their other PT platforms – meaning the full capabilities of the PT ecosystem can now be fully realised.”
