Busy Sponsorship Week for SA Rugby

SA Rugby has wrapped up four new sponsorship deals in the space of a week.

Firstly, with water brand THIRSTI and betting operator Betway South Africa, with those deals followed by agreements with energy drink Switch and recovery technology brand Hyperice.

THIRSTI has become the ‘Official Water Partner’ to the Springboks and SA Rugby on a three-year deal.

THIRSTI has been on an aggressive sponsorship drive and recently announced a partnership with the Bulls. It is also a partner of the Sharks and sponsor of a variety of South African sporting properties, including the Comrades Marathon.

Betway becomes an associate sponsor of SA Rugby and the Boks for the next three years.

It is SA Rugby’s first association with a company from the betting sector and will see the company’s logo appear on the Springbok team’s shorts.

The appointment as an associate sponsor of the Springboks will also see Betway branding appearing on the field at home Test matches, as well as on perimeter branding.

Hyperice becomes the ‘Official Recovery Technology Supplier’ to the Springboks and SA Rugby.

As part of a two-year partnership with Hyperice, all the SA Rugby squads including the Springboks, Women’s, Sevens and under-20 teams will be provided with Hyperice product, as well as sideline and training room access to the full suite of Hyperice and NormaTec technologies. Hyperice is a pioneer of percussion, vibration, dynamic air compression and thermal recovery technology.

Switch had signed on as the new ‘Official Energy Drink’ partner of the Springboks for three years – a first major sports sponsorship for the South African company.

This new partnership with SA Rugby will position the Switch brand as one of the Bok’s principal supporters and their logo will appear on the back of the Boks’ shorts.
