Stillwater Sports, the organisers of the Thirsti AfricanX Trailrun, have announced that the event will expand into a national series of events over the next year.
That series will take the form of three events this year and five in 2022.
The three-day event that took place in March falls under the 2021 list of events, with the two remaining events this year taking place in the North-West Province (21 and 22 August) and the Western Cape (18 September).
Next year, the Thirsti AfricanX National Series of events will include the traditional three-day event in the Western Cape (19-21 March), with two races in KZN (9 and 10 April) and the North West Province (TBC), and two in Gauteng and the Western Cape (TBC).
