As part of their International Women’s Day celebrations, New Balance tasked Levergy to create a campaign that would have a strong emotional connection to the New Balance brand with the female consumer.
The end result was a piece of video, which saw Levergy partner with Matchstick Creative, who shot and produced a short film highlighting the story of FNB Sponsorships Manager Nqobile Gama and her introduction to running.
“It was amazing to be part of this campaign, giving a voice to the everyday heroines and to see how her voice can inspire other women in South Africa,” said Levergy Creative Director Dareen Farghaly.
The film formed part of a global campaign, with the South African version of the film being chosen to headline the New Balance International Women’s Day messaging.
“We’re thrilled with our content film being chosen as the main message by New Balance global. It was chosen out of films made in all our regions, including Hong Kong, Taiwan, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, UAE and many others. It shows that the world wants to hear our voice and the standard of our work is right up there,” said New Balance Marketing Manager Katharine Stewart.
